Privacy Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation specifies the way that any and all information that is submitted to a website is to be handled. However, the rule cannot overwrite the applicable legislation of every sovereignty, while it may consider as personal data, information that the GDPR deems as excluded from its provisions.
Definitions
There are two types of information collected. The first one is defined as Personally Identifiable Information (P.I.I.) and can determine the identity of the person that submitted said information through telephone numbers, full names, locations, e-mail or mailing address. This data is collected through any forms that are submitted, or through any and all communication with the operators of the site.
The second type comes through collection of IP addresses, browser and OS information, dates and times of visits, and the pages visited, cannot actually identify any personage or place of residence. It is collected via the use of cookies.
The reason for collecting such information is to identify a user upon return visits and thus facilitate and improve the usability and experience of the site visited, as well as providing personalized content and advertisements. It is also the main source for the determination of trends, patterns and demographics that help the understanding of the needs of the visitors.
Cookies
They are small text files that contain IDs in code. We store them into a visitor’s hard drive and their sole purpose it to provide us with a tracking system of the visits to our sites and to assist in the measurement of the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They do not have the ability to execute any software, or transmit data to any other place than our serves (who are the only means of processing the information received).
It is in the absolute discretion of our users to deny the reception of cookies through the settings of their browser. If they choose to accept, then they should also know that they are entitled to access to any and all information stored about them. A request for the data needs to be submitted to which we will respond the soonest possible.
Confidentiality
Republic of Congo treats any and all information submitted as confidential. As such, we do not share them with any third parties or advertisers. We will only disclose said data if it is an action required via applicable legislation and is accompanied by an official and recognized warrant by another government, regulatory or law enforcement agency.
All information is stored in premises of our control and safeguarded through the implementation of the latest in SSL encryption.
Changes to the policy
We maintain the right to change any part of this policy as we see fit. While we may notify any and all parties of such amendments well ahead of time, it may be necessary to do so without warning or prior notice. Our visitors are encouraged to come back to this page and read its provisions regularly. The continued use of our sites will constitute acceptance of its terms.
